Title: Microsoft MCSE Post by jandarsun8 on 13.08.05 at 22:50:06
Ok, just wondering on opions here. Working on my MCSE and have my MCP, A+, Network+, and CCNA (although, don't have much hands on experience with live routers), not to mention that I game. I can damn near take apart and put back together a pc with my eye's closed I've worked on so many machines. I've been working in the network field for about nine years now but I'm currently looking for another job and week after week of going through the want adds, it's like almost every job position for something to do with networking is asking for a requirement of a Bach. degree in Computer Science. Is going through with getting my MCSE really going to sway people to really look at my experience and go "He's right for this job." or am I wasting my time? I'm almost starting to think that when I went through my last set of classes that I should have went for my Bach. degree instead. I'm just wondering if anyone else is going through this? It just kind of sucks appling for a job and having to stand out some how with 200/300 other people applying for the same position (that's no joke either, applied for a position and finally was able to talk to an HR rep almost a month later and he stated that they were still going through resume's. I can have certs up the butt and still not get reconized because I don't have that one degree. Just some thoughts on this, cuz I'm going nuts on trying to figure out what it is that's not getting me on some of these places that I've sent resueme's too with out even getting an interview.
