I love it! I'm waiting to hear back from the seller now, he states he has some 3dfx promo goods (a 3dfx golf bag cover?!) and early prototype cards.  One of the 200 mhz cards is due to be traded or sold off since I only need one, seller indicated he might have another somewhere.

I'm going nuts waiting for the pictures to show up  =)

I am happy that you have made a website about 3dfx cards, mainly because the world can now see those rare cards. Who was that man of yours, I mean the seller with the gol bag and stuff, did he work for 3dfx?

Ex-3dfx and Quantum3D and still in the business, was just luck that I stumbled across his name and e-mail address and asked the right questions Wink

The Quantum3D Voodoo Rush Ventana 50 card I obtained from him is priceless IMHO!

@ gdonovan

Awesome, your 3dfx site is great !
Very impressive, especially all the background information.
I have a Daytona 32MB DDR prototype at home, this one is not shown on your site. Tell me whether you want some pics.
I am interested in that 200Mhz Voodoo3 that is soon up for trade. Are you planning to sell it here or will you put it on ebay ? What are you interested in ( in case you wanna trade ) ?

Thanks, the hardware is always nice but I find the story behind the hardware just as interesting.

Go ahead and send them to my e-mail address in my profile, I have been toying with the idea for a page with cards I don't have.

Normally I'd rather trade then take cash since if the other party has extra cards or is in a location where it is difficult for me to obtain cards then it works out for everyone.  I have been rethinking that strategy since the last person I made a deal with... has not come through, yet.. and I have no sense of humor in these matters.

Glad you like, more to come! I have all sorts of ideas and people have been sending in trivia (including some people who worked at 3dfx judging by the quality of information)

Mercury page has been updated as well as the prototypes & VSA-100 page (new card, whoop!)

Yeee haaaa Grand Pa!!!!!

you got one of the most rarest Voodoo5 cards around:

...

Sh'e a beauty man woei.

Does it perform better with FSAA x4 with it's AGP=x4 connector than the Regular AGP x2 models? If so would like to a compare benchmark with the two cards, that might be challanging and interresting also Wink

1) I would think it would not be faster since it was tested in the same 1x/2x intel BX chipset motherboard I use for testing everything.

2) Actually I wasn't going to try and install it on a 4x motherboard, just to be on the safe side.

3) I have had a wicked string of luck the last few months, indeed there is some force at work. Been at the right place at the right time more then a few times.

Persistance pays off too.
