I don't know anything. I've been asking this same question for the last two months. But nobody answered.  :'(

What I would like to know is if they are truly modifiying the source code and acutally creating new/updated drivers.  ???

There are too many new "drivers" out there that I have tested and I see NO difference at all and all they are is 3dfx core drivers (might be renamed a bit, but not re-programmed due to the inexpirienced C+ programmers) and modifiied inf files.  >:(

Sorry, I wish I had programming expirience. . . . I would be all over this thing in no time flat.

But you bring up some good points, it does take up a lot of time and you definately need a good team, and there is no pay involved!

However, I would think that those (and god bless them all for taking time to continue 3Dfx's work) whom take the time to do this would actaully program/re-program the drivers as 3Dfx would if they were still around

It's been said a lot and for good reason and I join those in saying -- to bad they aren't around anymore   :'(

A dream for us all...someone who's rich would buy back the 3Dfx portfolio, assets, and everything Nvidia owns that is 3Dfx, make a comeback and prevent buyouts in the future....a nice dream  ;)

3D gaming won't quite be the same as when they were around....yeah what's out  there is advancing and getting better, but they haven't got what 3Dfx had.
