Amazing engineering sample Smiley G71 right?

Now that's what I call a prototype. It's made to test every single function and connection type.

Wow, such a small cooler is enough for a G92, awesome. Do you know the clock speed?

Damn, where do you get those ES from? If you ever want to get rid of some of them, let me know Cool

I will do some tests this week, just literally got the card. The cooler threw me off as its from 7 series I think. I will start looking into finiding a better cooler. I am real curious to see what the dip switches adjust, haven't had a chance to study them yet.

Probably some kind of Revision identification, serial number and so on. Something that directly identifies the card and can lead to the person who gave the card away and nvidia doesn't like seeing prototypes in the hands of the pucblic. I think that's why gwb killed this information.

But two very interesting boards indeed Smiley

@gwb: Please give us more information if possible Smiley

Hi all, I would like to keep possibly sensitive information kept secret until the cards become older for the time being.

Anyway, yesterday I installed the G92 card into a system and installed WinXP. I could not get any information to show up in GPU-Z. I then downloaded the newest 9 series WinXP drivers from nVidia's site but the installer stated that it found no applicable drivers. I am fairly certain it is a 9 series card because of the BIOS version (62.92.05.xxx), so I am assuming the DIP switches need to be set a certain setting or I need to flash the BIOS to a newer version

Attempted to flash BIOS tonight... surprise, surprise!

So then I played around with the device ID dip switch...

And then I got carried away!

As I stated before, this is a pure prototype to test every single function. Very nice Smiley

And yes, two G92 are used within the Quadro FX 4700 X2.

Here a nice card from my side:

Although I'm not an ATI fan, that's a sick card.

Me too, but I've got a weakness for prototypes and big and heavy cards Grin

ATi had much troubles with the R600, like 3dfx with the Voodoo 5 6000. So they had to put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into it and that's what I like about such cards.
