Anyone who plays psx games via epsxe on his voodoos? Well if there is and you play with a v5 5500 please try enabling 4x AA and tell me if fps drop below 30 (with AA off stable 60) couse a v5 5500 without AA on gives nothing extra from any of his predecessors.

btw....lots of drivers around making things confusing. E.x. raziel's latest have nice compatibility with dx8 games but on dx7 games they suck big time.

its been a while I have played something using lewpys glide, but as far as I remember,FPS were fine..but make sure you disable the 3dfx splash screen in 3dfx tools,as ridiculous as it may sound,it screws up the 4x FSAA visually.

Tried that but with no success :(....it seems like this slowdown appears in certain psx games. 4x with 32 bit textures and framebuffer works for some and kills fps for others!

This is the same for ALL PSX games in the emulator - some will be faster than others depending on the following ::):

1) GFX Plugin used
2) Settings of plugin
3) Game compatibility

All the parameters you refer to are static. What I m trying to find out is why the 4x AA triggers a slowdown and a way to fix it. The most weird thing is that 4x AA gives slowdown in low polygon games like tombi which compared with e.x. tony hawk 2 has less than half polygons = less than half AA to be done.
