have seen rushes with the macronix 2d but neve with the cirrus....finders keepers :)

I think it's safe to assume that 3dfx - at some time - did search for other suppliers for their 2D Core (which wasn't very well received).

However, that never really happened, looks like they dumped the plan (if existing) to improve the existing Rush design over their probably already existing Banshee design plans.

(I do like Wikipedia for alot of stuff, but I agree given Information must be verified when in doubt)
