This driver works, and it does a very good job in Windows XP and Windows 2000 also. I might be wrong, but as I know, this one is the very first -and the only one too- driver that allows to install a Hammerhead FX SV262, gameport not "A" USB evolution, under NT5.x based OS'es. Allthough the rumble effects are not supported, nor the game-profiler, both 2 joysticks, the D-pad and the butons are functional.

By the way, the gameplay feeling with this 3DFX certified/recommended controller remains for me the best ever. I had the chance to test other gamepads, from the cheap ones, like from Gembird to highly appreciated items, like from Logitech, but somehow I still like better my aging InterAct Hammerhead FX. Too bad that I do not have the free time that I used to have in the past, when I could just play and play for hours...

Not 100% sure, but since it runs via USB adapter, I'd try the USB Driver version first.

If that fails, try the native Driver (Gameport version).

I myself have no knowledge as to what distinct Hardware differences are within the Controller concerning USB vs. Gameport. (I would assume the internal controller of the USB Version has a newer hardware Revision)
