Primary Image which one Gamma, the Rev.A3 3400 you mean?
heh 6 of those in SLI would be destrutive Lips Sealed All stable @ cores/mem 183Mhz hahaha man Ultimate rig that would be, only a few problems, no mobo's with so many AGP slots and to get so many AGP2PCI of AGP5 adapters would be outch also.

hey Gary that Proto 3500 shouldn't that be a proto 3000 AGP - TV-Out?

sure looks like a common Voodoo3 3000 AGP = TV-Out 16 MB hehe unless it's bios states 3500 ofcourse Smiley

Interesting- I fired this one up tonight for the first time, it has 50 mhz core clock and 78 mhz memory clock.

Needless to say it runs Quake 3 fairly slow.  Grin

@Gary - just noticed two typo's on the Primary image page... Tongue

Quote:
70% of XGI's staff are former Primary-Image personal.

The sentence should read... Roll Eyes

70% of XPI's staff are former Primary-Image personnel.

Oh, and if it's possible for any one person to be put into a state of total dumbfoundedness (yeah, I made it up) over the sheer number of TOTALLY cool 3Dfx stuff on your site...I'm there man! Shocked 8)

==EDIT==

Typo No. 2

Quote:
the srever sid ran on the PC.

Should read...

the server side ran on the PC.

GOOD LUCK in finding the drivers and test software for the Barracuda! Wink

...and of course in finding a Pirahna too! Grin

Who knows, since the Barracuda will work as a 'normal' (yeah RIGHT - with all that kewl hardware!) 3Dfx card, maybe you could give Q3A a test run (OpenGL) and U.T. as well (GLiDE). 8)

We can only hope and pray! Cheesy

As for the vintage shots...COOOOOOOL!!! 8)

Well I'm sure a Voodoo II would outrun this example since they run at 90/90 but I wager even a Obsidian 50-4440 would be outrun for the following reasons.

The Obsidian would have the advantage of having a second TMU run at the same speed (50 mhz) but the Banshee's ram is running at 78 mhz and it is a unified 16 MB.

If you check one of my benchmark pages I think in one example (Quake III) it showed a Gigabyte Banshee smoking a V2 8MB due to the unified ram.

Thanks! Fixed!

I added some technical corrections by former staff and a blurb about Tempest as well, nothing very exciting though.

The site is pushing close to 50 megs in size now, amazing considering it is all html and jpgs aside from a few small files.

I have a line on some test software, no way to know if the board is good or not though till I have it in hand.

I'm a patient kinda guy though.

Tinkering with the Barracuda for the first time- It looks like it needs an external power source to the board to function.

I'm waiting to hear back from a soruce in regards to the connector pinout, perhaps we will know more soon.

I think this weekend I'm going to start working on making up the connectors for the 4116 board and powering it up.

The Barracuda does indeed use external power- Someone sent me a manual and it lists the requirements =)

Now I just have to figure out the pin configuration without cooking the board.

Can you point me to where the power connector is on the board? Oh and does the Cruncher card need external power as well?
