THE CHIPS ARE SOLD

I need some money so I'm selling the memory chips from the group-buy project for the V4/V5 memory mods by Komponent.

He has the chips, so if you want them you'll have to contact him for shipping. If you want him to do the mods for you, you need to send him the card(s).

I am the owner of twelve (12) chips in total and they cost me €3 a piece. I am selling them for that amount (€36 total).

You'd have to buy a card and these chips, send the card to Komponent and he'll make it when he's got the time.

Well you can look at it that way or you can think that it's been more than 6 years since Hank published the instructions to mod a v5 5500 with 128mb and to wait a while longer doesn't seem so much in comparison.
There were many obstacles to overcome but still i would've liked for things to be moving at a more rapid pace in this regard.

@NitroX Infinity have you spoken with Komponent recently about this? because i can't reach him to see what the status is on this project.
Just would wanna buy something i won't be able to put to good use...

Well if you don't mind i will wait to hear from him and clear things related to current modds before i venture and buy more chips for possibly future card "upgrades".

Sorry, friends, I am not the one who caused the international economy crisis, but what affects at least my life is that theese days for the company where I work to be able to win a new contract we have to offer more; that is more work with the same team we have and guess what... that translates right into more overtime hours for me day after day at my job. There is nothing I can do to solve this situation; after 12-13 hours at work I simply am too incapacitated, too tired to be able for modding video cards. No progress has been registered for weeks now; I have some cards from G1nX and RaverX here; only one Voodoo4 PCI and one Voodoo4 AGP are finished modding; one Voodoo5 AGP is 90% modded and work has also stalled at 50% for one Voodoo4 AGP. When I arrive home at night, I am so exhausted that I am not capable to concentrate enough to answer my messages, please excuse me for that and please understand that if I want to keep my $250 USD per month job, I have to put in alot of effort... I hope that soon the sittuation will clear itself and things will get back to normal so more cards will be modded; the tough times cannot last for ever... Friends, I can send you your chips, just provide me shipping addresses and you can use with someone else to perform the moddings if you cannot wait for me to put order in my life.

Glad to hear you still have a job. Hopefully the economy turns around for everyone soon. The so called experts say we are in a recession but I'm here to tell you, if you are out of work, you are in a depression..
