Here are some comments on the Glide support of this game:

This game supports Glide, but the only graphics resolution available in this game under Windows appears to be 640x480.

During installation you are prompted to make the following selection:

Choose either a Windows 95/98 or DOS version:

  Windows 95/95 Software Adapter
  Windows 95/95 3dfx Adapter
  DOS Software Adapter
  DOS Rendition Adapter
  DOS 3dfx Adapter

There is a 3dfx splash screen at the beginning of the game if you install the Windows 95/98 3dfx version even though there is never any specific mention of "Glide" in the documentation, so "3dfx Adapter" references apparently refer to "Glide".

Here are some excerpts from the Readme.txt file:

3DFX ISSUES

The Windows 3Dfx version of NASCAR Racing 1999 Edition allows you to return to your Windows desktop by pressing the Windows key on your keyboard or by pressing ALT-TAB to switch to another active application.  Some users may experience problems with the mouse cursor being confined to a small portion of the screen upon returning to the game.  This usually can be resolved by repeating the process of switching back to the desktop and then back into the game.

Additionally the text/numeric stamp tool in NASCAR Racing 1999 Edition's Paint Shop does not work properly in the Windows 3Dfx version.

For reference purposes, my system has the following components:

   Soyo SY-7VCAE Motherboard
Intel Pentium III  933 MHz Socket 370 Processor
   3dfx Voodoo5 64MB AGP Graphics Adapter
Creative Labs Sound Blaster Live! Platinum (Model SB4760P)
   256 MB SDRAM
   Microsoft Windows 98 SE
