heh while I was looking on my D-Drive on my X2 4400+ system I came accross this!

heh a 3dfx Voodoo 5 6000 AGP Box attempt don't think it's real since the name tag is on the wrong side of it unless it was planned to be placed on the right side?

Anyways Got respect for the person who made this I must say it looks very nice as relistic

well not of this thing but mny 3dfx folder is very big hahah let's see.

Ah here we go 1.14GB in size all the 3dfx pics of prototypes, card boxes, as pdf files & 3dfx drivers, all what is 3dfx based you can think of really 8)

My upload here isn't sufficiant for large file transfers but in my new home itwill be of great possibillites

here I have 52KB per sec max yaaay in my new home about 480KB per sec for the upload speed maybe more heh.
But when it's that far I will tell ja and then I will upload them via FlashFXP to you m14radu Wink

Wasn't the creator of the V5-6000 Face pic member of this very Forum ?

While I don't know if he actually made a Box of it (or Photoshopped one), I'm quite sure that's where it originally came from.

Just search around the Forum, you should find his original Thread about the Images (plus the Pictures of course, very good ones!)

Maybe you sould put them all somwere on the Web, so that they can be admire from all 3dfx fans....what u think about this idea ?

That box is the dream of every 3dfx fan man it's so nice. Grin

Just one thing, while you look on the small pic the name labels have a morely yellow tint than orange anyways that's what my eyes tell me heh.

One problem- 1) Power supply and board won't fit in std. 5500 box 2) Marketing people state the V5-6000 was going to be shipped in a "metal tin" display box. It might have been something for a window display.

which of the two is real the big one I posted first or the second one which I hardly think since KokoHemmo made that second box by himself, here is how he did it

Was that metal tin box ever made? Man it would of looked very rad!! like the 3dfx Voodoo 5 Lunchbox does, maybe the 6000 box would of had the same type of effect like the Lunchbox has? Could this be a possibillity?

Hi

Just a little more of that box project:

All other letters (including side text) are also cut pasted from scanned Voodoo5 5500 box, someone them almost pixel to pixel. That was the only way to have original letters and in original size using them and rewrite the text again letter by letter... The front Voodoo text looks fat, but it is 100% original size. The camers flash did it bolder. Right thikness is seeing at the top of box.

So you can imagine, how long time it took, but closer to original I can't get.

Ps. Glueing paper is long story too to avoid air bubbles under paper. Also needed quality color printer and good thikness paper.

Obi, the small tint of yellow is actually orange. I tested it several times shrinking my picture and lower resolution as small as the tiny one and when you use 256 color palette (low res) orange turns to yellow...

aha oke but okay still odd that the big "5" isn't the same colour as the ones on the 5500 AGP / PCI / PCI MAC boxes as the lunchbox and other Voodoo 5 promotional stuff.

here my old 5500 USA boxes, I have these two sealed now hehe :

Here the MAC USA box Which I have now

As you can see the PCI 5500 boxes have a green 5 while the AGP 5500 has a greenish yellowish number 5, so then I thought that the 6000 number 5 would have the same tint as the 5500 AGP's number 5 Wink

Heh but yeah you are right when compressing the ornage number 5 to 256 colours it indeedly goes yellow heh!
