IPX? That's like for Novell Netware. Why not turn on TCP/IP

Early id games run IPX networking, it's how I learned to network computers and never learned to fool around with TCP.

I remember those days. We used to have LAN partys playing GLQuake and Descent II (patched for Glide of course). Newer games now require TCP/IP.

I use to be a huge quake head- I'd play/practice for something like 6 hours a day and then my poor roommate would come home and want to play on the LAN and get slaughtered. The first time I rocket jumped on a map in front of him he just stopped playing, lol!

Ahh the good old days of early ICQ, quakespy, netquake and when everyone had high pings and no cheaters....

My old clan still has a site up, doesn't look like it's been updated in a few weeks though, use to be more extensive.

I owned DM2, lock stock and barrel. I knew every single sound on the map and could tell what the other player was doing and track 'em like radar.

Heh- Finally got around to firing Merc back up to test some cables, install OpenGVS and update the network settings so it could access the DSL.

Of course then I had to update IE 3.0  Cry

Perfect.

Iron runs with or without sync to refresh checked off, just won't run with master/slave/slave set.

I'm thinking since that is under "override application" it should not be set since the OpenGVS programs are already compiled for multi-channel.

At any rate, I'm waiting for an answer back, wish I had three green boards to test.

Note- The OpenGVS demos sure look nice with Mercury AA.
