Is this the right one?
http://ebay.keeneyedeals.com/img/20090610/IMG_3695.JPG
No, try this-
http://cgi.ebay.com/Powerleap-PL-iP3-T-Celeron1-4GHz-Slot1-upgrade-adapter_W0QQi...
http://cgi.ebay.com/Powerleap-1-4GHz-SL6C6-Celeron-slot-1-upgrade_W0QQitemZ35025...
The one with the power regulator is better, but the 1.4 Celeron is not that power hungry.
For a point of reference, the 1.4 Celeron uses as much power as a P3-600
33-34 watts.

Wow, that is pretty expensive...
So if I buy one of those, I have the complete set for "plug and play" ?
Does anyone have the right driver for the onboard sound of the motherboard?
Also I need the manual for the Version 2
Because I don´t know how to plug in HDD LED, PWR LED and stuff

$50 for the adapter with cpu and heatsink isn't bad.
I'm pretty sure I have the manual and driver.

Thanks,
I found this link:
http://support.packardbell.com/de/item/index.php?i=REFFIUP02610100&pi=platform_s...
And I downloaded the drivers there. No chance. Sound Driver is installed but I have to turn my speakers aaall the way up to hear the music playing. All of the settings in windows and creative driver panel are to the max.
Soundchip broken? I had the same issue with some soundcards also on the 6168.
I am about to test the Vibra16 ISA and then the Terratec Promedia. If both don´t work I will give up...
I hope the board I get from ebay will work better. I don´t know what the problem is... I am writing this right now on the 6168 on Win98SE

A lot of boards with built in sound require speakers with an amp.
I'll try to review what I have in the morning.

Hello @Kaitou!
!!WARNING!! - I would advise AGAINST flashing the BIOS, I once tried this and had to send my BIOS chip to Badflash.com to get it re-flashed!
I can ease your fears - as I've already tested the Powerleap PL-iP3-T...
The Powerleap PL-iP3-T works fine with a Tualatin Celeron, I tested it on my MSI-6168.
The only drawback is that you can ONLY run Win 9X operating systems - NOT Win 2K/ XP, etc...
Also, you "might" need to re-install after the CPU upgrade...
BTW the VER:2 mainboard (same one I have also) is actually an OEM board for Packard Bell only.
It's REAL name is the BORA PRO
http://www.uktsupport.co.uk/pb/mb/borapro.htm
Originally used in the Pulsar K450 v3 as seen HERE:
http://www.uktsupport.co.uk/pb/faq/model2.htm
The Spec page is HERE:
http://support.packardbell.com/it/item/index.php?i=spec_BoraPro&pi=platform_symp...
Jumpers can be found HERE:
http://support.packardbell.com/it/item/index.php?i=instr_BoraPro_jumpers&pi=plat...
Actual function of ALL jumpers including unlabeled ones...
J17 = [above CPU slot] S-video / composite video out (requires MSI backplate)
SW1 = [next to BIOS] CPU Multiplier setting
JVSB1 = [next to J17] Keyboard +5V standby ON/OFF
JRMS1 = [white jumer under IDE slot] Soft OFF PSU
J16 = [Above ISA slot] Front / Rear USB enable swap
J12 = [next to PCI slot 1] Function unknown?
JCL/JCS = [above PC Speaker] Function unknown?
J14 = [Next to PCI slot 2] Clear BIOS password
Some of the above jumpers have the same pinout as THIS board:
http://stason.org/TULARC/pc/motherboards/M/MICRO-STAR-INTERNATIONAL-CO-LTD-Penti...
MSI TV OUT BRACKET - S-VIDEO - RCA COMPOSITE !!HURRY ENDS SOON!!
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=250496587329&Category=11547...
If anyone can discover the functions of J12 and JCL/JCS we would like to know..

But what about the sound problem?
Thank you for the link!
I bought one of the backplanes. Now I have one for each MS6168
Maybe the reason why it is so quiet has something to do with the back connector? How do I plug in my Front Panel Speaker Out ?

I created a short, easy to print manual from my previous research in the last post...

Enjoy everyone!

But what about the sound problem?
It is very frustrating to hear it only very quiet like whispering....
I have it working now with the vibra16XV ISA
Not the best solution but I am hearing sound!!

I'll pull my system out today and check, wrong driver perhaps?

I guess so...
It used to be normal... I don´t know what happened...
I used the official Packard Bell Files...
I will check the other board which should arrive next week or so.
Right now I am installing the Hammerhead FX Pad...
