We're talking a lot about upgrading the memory on Voodoo 4/5 cards. But what about Voodoo 3's?

The amount of V3's that can reach 200MHz and beyond is far greater than the amount of V4/5's. So why not put faster memory on a V3?

I know, a V3 is limited to 16MB, but it performs almost the same as a V4 in 16bit mode. So wouldn't it make more sense to upgrade a V3's memory?

Where would you find 200MHz 2MB/chip RAM? It must be extreamly rear. Most V3s have 183MHz (5.5nsec) Ram  anyway. Gain would be marginal

Wow, those must have been some high grade avenger chips!
Anyway, no point in taking apart a powercolour i guess
