Hm, the biggest speed improvement with Unreal Tournament usually comes from using the latest Glide release available.

Otherwise, all relevant Tweaks can be inserted in real-time; run UT and open up the console, then enter "preferences".

Under the Rendering Menu, you'll find all Options currently available; good for quick performance check-up (e.g. while running the Intro Loop with Timedemo1 enabled)

Also Another Question, Will OpenGL be better then D3D at UT with my voodoo3 2000 Graphics card?

Well, there should be only Glide as your primary choice.

OpenGL (with an updated Renderer) will likely be much faster than Direct3D, since the Direct3D Renderer wasn't updated in a very long time and remained very beta (low performance).

i ask for opengl or D3D since GLide with xp doesnt work for me out, amigemarli... thingy gets my cpu stuck after 10 minutes playing. Last question, whats the best for UT with opengl?

The best OpenGL Renderer for Unreal Tournament is this :

Be aware though, that it was designed and optimized with non-3dfx Cards in mind, so I have no Idea how well it will perform with 3dfx cards.

The original OpenGL Beta-Renderer from Epic may actually turn out better, if you want to try them :

Any over-heating problems for the Video card?
