maybe those 6meg cards have the same problems as the voodoo rush chips , sound similar to my experiences ,with the rush .

possible...

but i cannot explain why a prototype V2 has less graphical errors in Tomb Raider then a production card... (and i think the few texture errors with my prototype V2 have to do with the resoldered SMD part)

maybe Thandor is right, its "closer" to a Voodoo Graphics... sounds strange, but there might be some truth in it..

maybe that the production card has bad ram chips which also can be the cause of glitches in the 3D program, that is what I had with one of my creative V2's

@Thandor: If the loose CK chip is not mooved from its original position, you can easily fix your looseness. You would have to use a heatgun @ about 350 degr. C, heat the chip (well the pins to be more precise) from about 5cm distance, and gently press it when the solder is melted.

and gary, whats wrong with your card? would you please test it in dos with tomb raider demo like me? i think your card works as mine!

I can get Tomb Raider to play in DOS but it's a software version?! from a Monster Demo disk.

I'll have to look around.

Downloaded the 3dfx version from 3dgamers.com and when it launches all I get is a software version *I think*

Currently using a known good V2 12 MB board.

1) No 3dfx spash screen on game launch.

2) Game stops displaying when pass through cable is pulled.

3) glide2x.ovl DOS driver is in DOS directory and game directory.

Anyone?
