The normal speed of the v3 3500 TV are 183Mhz. The v3 with memories of 5ns can run at 200mhz without troubles...

and yor v4 can be overclocket at 180mhz without troubles...

normal 5,5ns
but some card had 5,0ns ram! but i guess (if they are sold under the name of 3dfx) they are clocked at 183mhz! only falcon-northwest cards are clocked at 200mhz...and some prototypes of course...but with a 5,0ns sample you can oc very well Cheesy

reason i posted this is i got a 200 mhz card fro someone and its got 5.5ns ram but comes with a fan, now the card i got with 5ns ram seems to be the normal 3500 no fan or anything, but it does have the phillips tuner, i thought maybe all cards with that tuner might have the 5ns ram?

i dont have a system up and running to check this card yet but will soon, if anyone as a similar card do you know how much it o/c?

a 5,5ns v3 3500 with fan is a falcon-nw right? only selected ram was installed on them in order to reach 200mhz!

Eye-Q has a v3 3500 (with tuner) and 5ns! what is the date your 5ns-card was built?

I purchased a 3500 with 5 ns-RAM this week, it isn't here yet. I'll look which date it has been built when it arrives.

hmm if it has a Philips tuner and a Fan to cool the 3dfx 355 chip aka the 3500 chip it may well be a 200Mhz proto type, the ram should be runn'n at 200Mhz but it also could very well be a Falcon Northwest version.

here a pic of your card what it should be then:
...

and a Falcon Northwest would of looked more like this one:

date on card is? hmm i dont see it anywhere, i see it on the 2000 but not the 3500 --> unless its that # on the sticker which in 9939

OK, have you ever done this, because im very confused about what back plate it is your talking about, not the heatsink right? cause there no date there and its not the plate that holds it to the case either right, cause took out the screew and pulled the plate away from both cards and nothing there either. please give me a more detailed description or for me a photo with an arrow is wortrh a thousand words  Roll Eyes

Not all, but maybe VDX's has it there and he just didn't spotted it yet. Wink If the date code at his card is at that spot my post was helpful, otherwise he has to search again. Wink

Most are located under the bracket, I think only the later ones are in the center of the PCB.
