Well, every current Driver contains this File (?)
If you need it separate, you can always download and extract the File from the latest 3dfx Reference Driver for your Card, or : Download KoolSmoky's or Colourless' Glide Files from the Tools Section ;) Either way, that will get you your glide3x.dll... On this Page http://www.3dgw.com/scripts/gd/207 there's a Patch listed for the Game (in case you don't have that yet). Worst case, it will run under Direct3D as well, if you cannot solve your Problem. Note that the glide3x.dll should be located in your Windows\System Directory. If it's not present, you might have a not correctly installed 3dfx Driver. |

Go the Start Menu --> Control Panel. Open the System Control Panel. Go to the Hardware tab up top. Click the Device Manager button. Click the + next to Display Adapters. The entry listed under Display Adapters is your video card. Double-click on it. Go the the Driver tab. We need Driver Provider, Driver Date, and Driver Version.
BTW, the video card is the part of your computer that draws all the graphics. It's called a card because it is normally an add-in circuit board, smaller than the main board, and looks somewhat like a card. A driver is a piece of software that tells your operating system, in this case Windows XP, how to use a device. Basically, it is the piece of software that 'drives' the device. |
