EAR Interactive Around-Sound

A few years ago I came across a website for something called EAR Interactive Around-Sound which was designed to give 3D sound support to Quake 2, Battlezone, and Heavy Gear 2. The page had the following text at the top:
Interactive Around-Sound®
The Only True Multi-Speaker Interactive Audio Solution
We're running on fumes! Our company is now officially collateral damage of the Dot-Com
phenomenon; we will soon be resting with our fellow audio compatriots in Davey Jones'
locker. Thanks for all of your support.
Our second patent has been issued. We also have lost our funding. Anyone interested in
fronting us so we can defend our two patents (#6,154,549 and #5,850,455) should send
us an e-mail. (Better yet, just send a check.)
The following page has more information about the company and their product:
http://www.joystick101.org/poll/1006780722_xltwPHgS
You could download the following Earsound files (which I still have):
iaspkg0.exe Version 1.58 Super Installer
iasbzins.exe Battlezone
bzoneasf.exe Battlezone Audio Assets
iasq2ins.exe Quake 2
Has anyone used this 3D sound system? Does it work?
Thanks.
