Title: Building up a media pc
Post by Mansfield on 05.01.07 at 18:05:51
i was thinkin about build up for media pc. it thought specks like this:
P3 800MHz
256Mb sdram
and voodoo 3 with s-video output (http://www.huuto.net/fi/showitem.php3?itemid=44830927 try find out the specks altough it's finnish)
and os will be Win 2k

would that be enough for a media pc to wach movies from DVD reader and divx etc. from hdd, and listen music

What drivers would be good if I'll connect it only to the TV

os could be also Linux Ubuntu

Hmm...it would be enough for smooth DVD playback in Win2K. :)

Not too sure about DivX though, you'd prolly have to go with a Linux Kernel for completely smooth playback on a P3 800... :P

...DivX is quite demanding! :-/

http://www.falconfly.de/voodoo3.htm

For Win9x use the 3dfx driver- 3dfx Voodoo3 V1.07.00

For Win2k or XP I have had good luck with AmigaSport V3.0 WinXP/Win2K

ok at first I think that I configure the system with crt monitor only
then I configure that tv is a copy from main monitor
so, does it work if tv is a copy from main monitor and I boot system without crt monitor, only with tv

OK it's over year since I post here, but this is related to my project..
It seems that I need riser card to my system. well believe or not can't find any from finland (except for 50€  :( ) so i found from ebay this http://global.ebay.com/gbh/viItem?ItemId=360030606035 but it's german which I dont understand. Could someone translate it. a small summary is enough. I also need to know what does that little PCI connector whit those two wired connectors.

today I got a V3 3500 TV !! :D I was surprised how massive the cable is.
so what dirvers is best for that card currently I have v3 3000  with AmigaSport V3.0 drivers. are that drivers compatible with 3500 TV or should I have another one. there is no need for support for Tv tuner because there is no analog TV broadcasting anymore in Finland since last august except you can see Eurosport in some cable networks

PS: Does anyone has a manual for voodoo 3 3500 TV in digital format
