Title: Website is live. Post by Tim on 04.05.09 at 00:03:57 I'm happy to announce that my website is now live, with one or two additions, and a platforms page completed. :) Testing went well, and it runs fine on all browsers. www.tga3dx.com *New update list here* http://www.tga3dx.com/Updates.html |

That was on another forum, and the thread was promptly locked. That was a bit harsh. :-X :D |

Never mind those people, the kid probably didn't get his first PC until 2004 and therefor doesn't have a clue.

I suppose lol. I just checked bandwith usage, 2100 unique visitors, 6Gb in 12 hours. That's crazy. |

Hehehe, that's cause I told everyone that there was a Rampage dual chip card aka Spectre2000 for sale on your site. :) Just kidding ofcourse, the site looks nice and clean, is easy to navigate through, very nicely done. What program did you use to create your site?? Dreamweaver or something alike?? |

Very nice Tim. High traffic in a short time. Maybe you should watermark your pictures as surely some of the more rare cards can't be found pictured in detail elsewhere.
Looking forward to see the next planed updates completed. |

Haha, nice one! I used a program called Xsite Pro 2, it works okay, it's not perfect though, Dreamweaver was too expensive and too difficult for a website noob like me. G1nX wrote on 04.05.09 at 14:47:58:
At the moment I do not have any cards coming in, so I can save up (luckily) and write some more infos. :) |

Very nice site.
However, there seems to be some problems. Clicking on 3dfx history (http://www.tga3dx.com/3dfx.html) generate a page that says : Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ':' in /home/tgadxcom/public_html/3dfx.html on line 1021 |
Title: Re: Website is live. Post by Tim on 05.05.09 at 12:55:47 Yea there is a problem, I'm still trying to find out why that link doesn't work, it's driving me mad. |

The site that started my endeavour in collecting listed my site on their homepage, and in their original article. Man, that really made me happy! :)

Nice work mate !
It was a nice moment to look on all the cards...hehe..bringing old memories back ! ;) You could also go a little bit into the passt, and put some "older" cards like the ISA Trident ( OAK Technologies ), or Cirrus Logic with VL Bus :D and of course, the best Tseng ET6000W32p.. hehe |

Thanks!
They are nice cards indeed, especially the Tjeng Labs, apparently it's got brilliant 2D quality. Unfortunately it doesn't deliver any 3D acceleration, so it's no point having it in my collection because of that. :) |

There was a ET4000/W32p and a ET6000 (PCI only!), but no "ET6000W32p"! ;) The ET4000 was indeed one of the best ISA chips for DOS applications, but there were much better chips for VLB, like the S3 968 and the ATI Mach64! ;) The ET6000 (and the ET6100) are probably the fastest DOS cards for PCI. I'm still using two of them! ;D |

Due to the feedback received on the initial, tricky to use menu, I've changed the navigation menu from 2 drop down boxes to one. The main gallery is accessed by clicking on the "Golden Era" link from the "The Collection" drop down box.
From there you can select which year you want to look at. Hopefully this will make browsing a tad easier and less confusing for newcomers, and easier to use. Please let me know if you think so. :) I should be getting a lightbox soon, to take some more professional pictures of the cards. http://www.tga3dx.com/Golden-Era.html |
