When 3DfX will reborn ?
It to bad that this company is gone.Why this company
is not reborned ? This forum is a proof that the 3dfx was a good brand and her legacy is alive.A new start will be a surprise for all competitors and of course with a brand new name:
[glb]3DFX PHOENIX[/glb] (like the phoenix bird that symbolizes immortality, resurrection and life after death). 8)and a redesigned logo:the original 3dfx logo with a phoenix bird and a motto: "[glb]The 3D World has a new master ".[/glb]Imagine [glb]brand new PCI express voodoo cards with 128/256 MB [/glb]of video and drivers with full support for glide+opengl+d3d :o In these video cards put them in the SLI mode .? :o
If someday I will have the resources ,I will rebuild this company.
What a dream !

Imagination needs to be tempered with reality.

3dfx is dead, the conditions under which 3dfx were created will never happen again, Nvidia owns the name 3dfx, Voodoo, etc.

Fans on a web board not a business make, sure didn't help 3dfx back in 2000 when there was far more people wishing 3dfx the best.

yes of course... but there is a difference between "real" dreams they are possible to come true and dreams they could not become true because they are to fantastic.

anyway you cannot bring back the feeling of the "3dfx-years" ;)

3dfx was sueing nVidia for 4 billion. (9 zero's)
3dfx was worth 4 million (6 zero's)

nVidia bought up 3dfx and probably saved 3.6 billion in doing so.

But why a lawsuite between them.Was the technology

No, 3dfx did not lose the case, it never got that far.

Yup, you can bring back something that seems to be 3dfx, but 3dfx is not...
