Title: need serious help Post by ultratrash1 on 08.03.04 at 04:41:03
I have installed a 2nd hard drive on my computer that runs windows ME. I have installed every driver set imaginable and followed every instruction to the word. I have a few problems. I get the error " no tv drivers installed" when i click on the VR. I have no capture device when i use netmeeting. The only problem driver i see in device manager is the TVWDM which has an exclamation warning near it but won't allow me to upgrade a driver and the few times it did let me nothing helped. I would like to use THE BEST driver for using a webcam or netmeeting and capturing video from tv. I use xp to play games...
I have AMD 2.4 os windows me 512mb ram 60 gb hd |

Hm, do you own the correct Regional Version for your Location ?
This means both Windows and the Hardware&Driver, since there are both WDM and VfW (Video for Windows) Versions of the V3-3500/TV Software existing. (both are incompatible by principle, a Driver expecting VfW will not run under a WDM Windows Version for example) I believe Video for Windows was inside the European Windows Versions, while the US bases Systems ran off WDM instead. (if Memory serves me correct here) PS. I have no Idea if every 3rd party Software (now that you mentioned Netmeeting) works flawless with a V3-3500/TV. Although the V3-3500/TV uses a Standard Bt848 Tuner Chip, there might be a difference in accessing it. Technically, I think it could (or even should) work, but I've never done anything like that myself. |

I think this is definetly the problem...I have both VFW and WDM. I can't get it to just be WDM. Whenever i reboot it finds the device and install VFW. I have deleted the drivers and still the same thing...any help on how to fix this above and beyond the tremendous help you have been is very appreciated.

*ugh*
Windows Versions running with WDM will not support VfW (or vice versa) (?) So AFAIK, they cannot co-exist (or run) on one Windows at the same time, since they are separate Windows System components. |
