But never assume that your (Tyan, Supermicro Antec, Enermax, Tagan, whatever expensive PSU) works good.
2 powersupply's --> PSU1 was € 130,-
PSU 2 was € 100,-.
Both PSU's died slowly (gave too low voltages,which can kill hardware, especially hard drives).
Both PSU's we're send out for RMA and I got new ones back. PSU1 is an different (better) model for almost the same price. PSU2 is just the same PSU.
I'm not calling names since it could be bad for the reputation of the brand. Since the RMA procedure was fine and it looked like a bad line of PSU's (the PSU's we're bought at the same time and based on the same technology).
When working with expensive and exclusive hardware it's better to check the status of your hardware a couple of times per month. Try to use a multimeter because many PC's cannot read the correct voltage and will show wrong results in the BIOS.
