This is my test setup, doesn't look all that great, but hey it works

ultima God Member Offline Always searching Posts: 876 The Netherlands Gender:	Re: upgraded my voodoo5 rig Reply #18 - 04.04.14 at 11:11:52 I think something is wrong with my win2k cd, everytime I try to install it craps out at the moment it is "registereing components" sometimes a BSOD, sometimes an ntoskrnl.dll error, sometimes a sudden reboot. Will do a windows XP install to make sure hadware is just fine.

LOL dx8.1 installed, last official 3DFX drivers for win2k....3DMark2001SE score is: 3132 on default settings

I'm still tweaking the rig, hard to find win2k drivers for it...tho they do exist.

Some listings under System are still exclemation marks, so....

just did a little run to try and see prelimenary score.

Will be doing a clean install now, I used a win2k + SP4 cd, but wanna start from scratch, with drivers too, gonna use the amigamerlin ones, they are better then the 3DFX official ones if ya ask me.

And it was with 1 cpu and 1 stick of ram, so no dual channel ram, but will have more ram this afternoon, so....

I will also install windows XP to do some nice comparison.
