Title: [?] ASUS A7M-266D (Dual SocketA Motherboard) Post by FalconFly on 18.04.07 at 21:59:10
I was wondering if there is possibly any interest in that used Motherboard...
Pro's : - supports upto 2x AthlonMP 2800+ - does not require any special RAM (runs on normal DDR RAM, no Registered and/or ECC needed). - all Capacitors 100% okay Con's : - has been on duty for some ~20000h in my Network - 'forgets' Clock time when physically disconnected from Power for a longer time (possibly can be fixed with a new CMOS Battery) Images : Link Docs / Support : Link |

hmm I'm interested :)
Dunno what you would want for it and what does it come with, is it just the mobo or does it have 2 Barton 2800+ CPU's with some ram? It would be nice as my server for my new home FalconFly 8) Well What I can remember is when I had my ASUS A7M266-D with 2 MP 2200+ CPU's I had to use ECC Reg PC-2100 for my SMP setup, since I tried normal unregistred as non ECC ram and it did not boot, so I bought 1x 1GB PC2100 ECC Reg from Twin-Moss and it was a splendid setup for FS 2004 with a nice Hercules Radeon 9700 pro and a SB Audigy2 Platinum. About the clocktime prob , a new CMOS batt should indeed do the trick, i had the same with my ABiT VP6 with Dual P3 1Ghz Coppermines ;D heh it even booted in german too haha was a funny setup that one Grun syteme |

I do have the both MP 2800+ and various RAM, but I plan to sell those on EBay.
I have no special price in mind for older Motherboards, so any evaluation will be noted. |

The Board has an AGP Protection circuit, any 3.3V AGP card will not be powered up and an AGP Warning LED is lit.

They'll be on Ebay as a Pair next week, together with the RAM.
(mainly because I have no clue of their current value , they're almost nowhere to find nowadays even here on EBay) |

ahh too bad, I only need one. :(
Good luck with selling them, I'm sure that they'll give you enough money. After all, they are one of the fastest socket A cpu's and they are multiplier unlocked, so.....probably gonna be a lotta people wanting those. :) |
