Title: VillageTronic MP850 -> PC Bios Flash Post by prof.ah on 06.03.08 at 11:50:12
Hello guys!
I own a VillageTronic MP850 (Banshee PCI) for Mac and tried to flash it to PC! After 2 hours and several problems, caused by the LAN card i guess now, I got a Banshee PCI SG Bios on the card. At first it worked fine on my Asus Cusl2 but when placing the card in the system it is supposed to run in, with an Asus P5A, the card gives only very dark image (Booting) or a very bright image in Dos and Windows...dont know why?! Tried to set the jumpers on the VT card but no picture at all, tried another PCI Port...same problem! Has anyone an idea what causes this picture problems? Is there a newer Bios version than 1.00.10 or any special bios for the VillageTronic card? I tried 1.00.10SG with and without TV Out...both the same problem... |

The VT boards are very unique, I'm surprised that you got it to function at all with a PC bios. |

I tried cause I found the 3dfx collection of some guy with google, he had also a MP850 with the annotation "PC bios flashed"..so I thought I just try it...
Strange thing with another mainboard (DFi K6XV3+): the post screen looks normal, next screen or bios is again too dark.... |

Try and email the guy who flashed his villagetronic card - ask him which BIOS he used...
Just a thought! ;) |
