I would like to buy such a nice card and i'm curios if it possible to use the card im XP, and with normal application.
What about games ?
Is the memory amount of 512 Mb an advantage ?
Overclocking possibilities ? Memory is 5.4 ns Grin

And Drivers ? SFFT or Amigamerlin support the card ?
Power supply problems ?

Never tried under XP, it might work as the only drivers are for Windows 2000.

None- Board design and tools are issues.

Quantum3D only, the Wicked3D minidriver works with minor texture issues.

A unique $1000USD unit (which none are currently for sale) is required to run the board, or a unique power board that works off a normal power supply.

As far as I know, I have the only running 8164 setup in collector hands, there is one other collector would might be able to get one running though.

With a regular PSU, will not work ?
Did you tried your card ?
As long as you don't force the card, ( 8xAA ) it should start.
For posting and normal operation under windows the power consumption should be less.
But, despite of this PSU Problem, i saw that there is an aditional board, that should be used with the card, only for supply purposes. Or this one come allways with the card. ( the green one, with " No Leak" stickers )

It will not work, all power and grounds are through the external connections accross the top of the board.

The 8164 does not output any 2D, just 3D.

The green board is for hooking up the unique power supply, see my webpage.
