a strange 5500 PCI...

Hi everyone hehe this last day of the year I found this picture of this wierd Voodoo5 5500 PCI with a black DVI!!!

By the looks of it, it has a white string at the top right corner attached to it, so that might lead to an E-Tag so this maybe the PCI version of Oscar's 5500 AGP with Black DVI

I dunno who has it but hey it does exsist my friends!!

Let's hope that it will pop up one day

It won't be a normal DVI...it will be a MAC monitor connector (which is why it's black!). All of the original MAC connectors for cards were BLACK - but then they changed them to WHITE, just to confuse people even more who bought the MAC V5500 cards... ...that's my take on the thing anyhow!

Anyways does it function well and was it meant for PC or MAC? It is a Rev.A1 what is the PCB date is that 3100?

Reply #13 - 07.04.06 at 16:17:01 yeah I am ashuming that since I never have seen a production Voodoo4 and 5 card with a black DVI, all Production models have White ones, I have seen a Voodoo5 5500 AGP with a black D-Sub along time ago on ebay.de dunno about that one though.
