3dfx Archive - Voodoo Graphics won't work... help!

TM30 God Member Offline Posts: 1108 Germany Gender:	Voodoo Graphics won't work... help! 12.10.04 at 22:00:59 so i tried a Miro Hiscore Maxi Gamer and a Monster 3D... i have Win98SE and DX8.0 , used the last driver (with Quake 3 Support)... card appears correctly in control panel. but when i start a game i only see corrupted painty boxes... Voodoo 2,3,5 etc. work perfect on that system! What can that be?

The card might get too hot.

What is the PCI bus speed set to or operating at?

Sounds more like a driver issue though if all the other voodoo cards are operating correct.

Reply #7 - 16.10.04 at 14:10:27 i fixed it already... i had to set in bios "PCI Write" or sth. like this to disabled... now the 3D Mark 2000 works, but UT doesnt... i can enter the game, but i hardly can see nothing... strange

Win98SE Q3D rel 3 from here and DirectX 8.1

I did a fresh install of 98 and the I Q of the 100SB just looks really bad. The Q3D drivers detect the card correctly.

I wanted to find out from you guys...

Should this card work with the drivers from this site:

Quantum Obsidian series Driver for Win95
(50, 50 TVout, 100SB/DB, 100SB MGV)

Or do I need to get some .inf files to add or modify?

I've tried this card in 3 different machines. My PII 233 66fsb and my PIII 500 100fsb the just for the heck of it I put it in my AMD 2400+ 133/266fsb.

They all run 98SE same Q3D drivers and 8.1 directx except the AMD has 9.0b or c directx.

My Main Question is:

Should this card run on these Q3D dirvers???

Go to my website and check out the benchmark page, click on the 100SB screenshot image to see the Q3 driver information. What games are you having an issue?

sorry that i have another problem... but can you tell me what driver you use for the Pure 3D ? you said it works perfect... but my miro hiscore (same as pure 3d) doesnt work... works only in 3dmark 2000.... but not UT and other games... i tested all voodoos on that machine... could it be that there are several driver issues?
