Title: My collection's website in beta stage - Feedback needed.
Post by Tim on 09.04.09 at 00:02:36

I've finally put my website up, it's being fine-tuned at the moment, and awaiting one or two arrivals of hardware. It should be open to the public later this month. The "platforms" subsection still has to be added.

This is not just limited to 3dfx, but 3dfx is well represented, so I thought it would fit in the general discussion section.

Because my life is getting seriously more complicated in the next half year (getting married, moving to new home), I will have to work on the site in stages, I've never liked a "work in progress" site, but it's the only way for me to do it right now. It's all very time consuming. So instead of working on it another x months, I thought I'd just show people at least some of the video cards.

The main picture gallery is under "The Collection -> Golden Era", then select the corresponding year.

It's my first website, but I kind of like how it turned out to be.

Have a look and see what you think about it.

That's strange, what browser are you using?  :-?

It works fine in Firefox, IE and Opera. For some strange reason google chrome does not work. I'm trying to find out the problem.

Thanks for the kind words Tweakstone, yea it is a lot of work, maybe I got myself in over my head lol.

It's working fine now, both in IE7 and 8. What exactly is happening? Can't you see the info bar? Or just the main page?

Can you take a screenshot of it?

I'm not even getting the main page now, indicates site isn't there.

Very strange, it seems like you are the only person with this problem.

Try clearing your browser cache? I just tried everything I could, and it works fine. I can't replicate it Gary.

Thanks rottentreats!! That's good to hear.

Thanks Exxe. Yea the navigation is a bit tricky, but I don't really have any other ideas how to work that out.

It's doable I suppose. :)

I'm happy to report that the site works in Safari now too!

There was a problem with the .htaccess file.

Wow  /faint. I just had Mr. Gabe Newell (CEO Valve) forward my site to his colleques who used to work for many of these 3D companies.

Who knows what's going to come of this!! Wew.   :o  :D

Awesome.

1995, Creative Blaster VLB added.

I have to take some pictures of some stuff I got in this week, some ATI engineering samples, and some extra Real3D marketing material, and then we're good to go! :)
