It's being sold in Quantum3D's neighborhood so it would be my guess that someone at Q3D tipped off a friend that this stuff was being distroyed and tossed in the dumpster and the friend went dumpster diving in hopes of selling this stuff off on ebay.
Just a thought ::) |

Actually I'm thinking that someone is very much aware of the stuff COMPUTER_DR was selling a few weeks ago and when they junked another batch of stuff made sure it wasn't functional.

nevertheless the responses they had for Q3d Cards must have been really good.
regardless of the price that they try to sell them |

Oh well, really looks like someone forced them to fulfill their contract (recycle and/or defunc junked Equipment).
Otherwise I wouldn't know why anyone would destroy hardware that otherwise could sell off for good money... |

So Quantum3D doesn't have to field tech calls for hardware that they junked. Get the picture? |

Since the AAlchemy Boards additionally were frequently used for Military Simulators, there's also another viable explanation :
Hardware used for the Military running Software category "Confidential" or higher is often subject to extremely strict regulations concerning their dismantling. I know quite similar regulations, where every Device capable of Memory storage of any kind (even volatile Video RAM) has to be physically destroyed and would never be sold. |

I know for a fact though Quantum3D just dumped some hardware that was reserved for RMA use and I know there are a few people there miffed about hardware COMPUTER_DR was selling as they strongly suspected it was stuff Quantum3D tossed out as scrap.
