There was far less interest in these than I thought there'd be!
They are single board Voodoo2 SLI cards similar to Quantum3Ds X-24 (consumer card) only these are the professional version which don't use the daughter card design. This should give an advantage in terms of cooling but you can clearly see the "disadvantage". You need a
full
length PCI slot.
I already own a conventional SLI rig and an X-24. But I couldn't resist buying one of these too.
It's a shame in a way because they were originally assembled into a Quantum3D Hg Mercury rig (see picture below) and, if someone had bought all four, they could have been reassembled. But the Mercury rig, although it provides fantastic bandwidth and AA, will only run OpenGL under Windows NT using Quantum3D's drivers. And the four of them together
still
only support a resolution of 1024x1024. Whereas each of these 200SBis will work like any Voodoo2 SLI rig under Windows 98 using 3dfx drivers which is what I'm more interested in as a gamer.

Wow, nice piece of Technology you have there
I must admit, some of the Boards/Devices 3dfx and their offsprings created nowadays often look like ancient relics, but they sure are cool
And certainly, not many of these can be around anymore...
btw. you don't have a small set of Quantum Drivers or Utilities I might put up my Site ?
Greetings

They certainly do! But then these days when I buy a new add-in card or some such for my PC I feel cheated because everything is so
small
. When a graphics card or the like is three feet long at least you feel you're getting value for money.

Oops!
And regarding the files, FalconFly, the only drivers I have as yet are those that are available from Quantum3D here-
http://www.quantum3d.com/support/index.html#Drivers
I
do
have the registry patch which fixes colour corruption (due to memory timings) when using 3dfx Voodoo2 reference drivers on an Obsidian2 X-24 (and possibly the 200SBi but I'll have to let you know on that one
).
Registry patch here-
http://www.procerus.btinternet.co.uk/OB2X_3Dfx_Ref.reg
Note that for DOS glide (dropping out of Windows 95/98/ME) it is necessary to copy these timings into the Voodoo2.var file in your Windows folder.
If I get hold of any discontinued Quantum3D drivers I'll let you know. The x3dfx archive has the
very
rare Obsidian 100SB driver for example (SLIed Voodoo1 card). Do you want that?

Not sure how best to upload to you. So here's the Quantum3D Obsidian 100SB (Voodoo1 SLI) driver-
http://www.procerus.btinternet.co.uk/Q3D100SB.zip
Should go well in your Voodoo 1 files section!
Can I make a request for your tools/utilities section? The 3DControlCenter is a tool that was written to control which card, in any system with a main card
and
an add-in 3D accelerator, does the Direct3D. So with this program you can turn on and off the Voodoo2 HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer) thereby deciding whether your Voodoo2 or your main card does the Direct3D. You can get a copy from this page-
http://www.billsworkshop.com/
Note that PowerStrip can also enable/disable the Direct3D on add-in accelerators
and
do it automatically according to your preferences. But PowerStrip is both multipurpose and shareware. The 3DControlCenter is specifically written for just this one task (it usually sits in the system tray) and is freeware.

Nice collection, recoton! I only own Voodoo2s now since I was silly enough to give my Voodoo Graphics card away to a neighbour.
I hope to collect some other cards in the future.

Okidok, I downloaded the Quantum Driver from your Site, and the 3dcc Tool.
All will go online latest in 2 Days, if I don't make it this evening

The 200SBi arrived today. Fitted easily into my system's case (I was worried because of the length of the thing) and works perfectly with the 3.02.02 3dfx reference drivers under DirectX, OpenGL and glide.
Here it is with the X-24 it's replaced, and the pair of Creative Blaster Voodoo2s the X-24 replaced (these are fitted with Tennmax Voodoo2 Stealth coolers so you can't see the chipset)-
Just a pity I don't have a pair of Quantum3D Obsidian2 S12s instead of the Creative Blasters. Hmmm... There's an idea.
