Ok, if I didn't already have my own place, I'd be looking for one right now.    Very short history. I've got a five year old daughter from my Ex that I'm very much a part of her life, and will always be (I've got her every Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and every other Saturday). Ok, I'm getting married finally (was never married with said Ex that I have child with). Ok so now, Friday rolls around and my Fiance' and I are going over bills because she's been using my checking account as well and I was trying to figure out how much of the money that was in the account was actually mine, not that it really matters but I wanted to get an idea of what I could spend and what i couldn't. Here's the insert foot, and posiably my leg up to my waist as well, part. She says some smart ass comment about "I've never had to do this crap with anyone else before blah, blah, blah." OK, now granted were on the phone talking about this, not face to face (thank god), and before my mind registers what came out of my mouth I heard the phone click (not good). Then my mind registered the fact that right after her little comment, my mouth took the liberty of saying "Well, I just went from one bit*h to another." (really, really not good). This my friends, is what not to say to someone that you're sleeping with. It's very bad for your sex life. I'm writing this now, after dropping off a bundle of flowers and appologizing (which by the way, does amazingly well).     Anyway, have a good night guys, I'm going to bed.

You might want to discuss with her opening a second account strictly for her. This way you wouldn't need to keep track of who's funds are who's. This account could be in both of your names or just yours. She could have direct deposit into it and an ATM card to access funds. Sounds like you've known her for a while now and I'm sure you trust her. Arguing over money can sure derail a long term relationship.
