I'm searching for a fully functional 100SB with 2 Shades, since mine doesn't work correctly.

If someone does have the board just for display purposes, I'm willing to exchange mine plus additional payment.
[If not I'll buy your Board without any exchanges of course ;)]

What I have:

- A functional 100SB without shades
- 2 functional shades
- they just don't work together and that's thanks to the board itself, since I have 2 definitely functional shades

They driver just won't install correctly when the shades are installed, the board alone works fine.

I hope someone can help me :)

Yea, I hope you will succeed, they must be pretty rare nowadays, haven't seen one in, pff, don't know how long. :)

you can send me you board and shades and i test them
maybe there is a combination and we can use both all the shades

I'd like to believe that, but I already tried 4 shades on my board and the behaviour stays the same :(

Hi, I have some information, maybe it can help you.

I have a 100SB-4440 also, with 2 shades.
When I install the driver, it also does not work correctly.
Finally I resolved the problem.
Look below...

When I put 100SB-4440(4400+2shades) into the computer,
and install the driver, it CAN NOT work correctly.

When I put 100SB-4400(without shades) into the computer,
and install the driver, it CAN work correctly.
Then I shutdown the computer, and pull the 100SB-4400 out,
and put the two shades on 100SB-4400, and put it into the computer again,when the system started, everything works well.

That's all...


I do not know if it is the correct method, but it DOES work.

Some old card whith daughter cards have the same question,
I remember that I have drived a Diamond MultiMedia MonsterSound MX100 long long ago, it has a daughter card, of course, in the same way I drived it.

Thanks for your help, but if I remeber correctly I already tried that.. I'm not sure though, so I will try it in the next days and report back :)

Okay I tried it, I've even set up a clean new system without shades installed and installed them AFTER the card was installed and working. After the shades were installed, the same problems occured.

So -> PUSH, I want a fully functional card NOW :D

What's about Exxe's idea? Maybe your shades won't work with your card but with Exxe's one. So he can test them and maybe find a possible combination.

I frankly don't believe that. My shades are already replacement ones from Gary. So, I already had 4 shades here and tested them in all possible combinations - no luck so far :(

I'll definetely send my card for testing to exxe if all else fails, but since I don't think this will help, I still hope someone wants to sell his card (man, I should have bought TM30s back in the days ::) )...

1.0 If I install the driver (regardless of OS 95/98/ME/NT), after first Boot only the desktop-background shows up, in the taskmanager is only rundll32.exe, nothing else. If I end the task, all icons etc. appear. After this, the behaviour is similar to what happens under 2.1

1.1 If I install the card without shades everything works fine.

2.0 If I put the shades onto the card AFTER it was correctly installed the system boots normally.

2.1 If I launch display properties then or try to start a glide game the following message appears: _GlideInitEnvironment: glide2x.dll expected VoodooGraphics, none detected.

3.0 I know Surrimugge
