two chips in SLI maybe dont run on a so long PCI slot

I don't see why it would not run, the two VSA-100 chips are on thier own bus.

okay true it will run, but what are riser cards like this one actually used for? never seen them in retail stores or ebay.

small cramped cases like 1U rackmount for example.

Lot's of older desktop PC's (XT's, some Tulip, Compaq machines and on) use risercards as well. Not one like this (with flatcable) but just a PCB which can be inserted into a slot on the motherboard.

heeh yeah looks very wacko also heh, but can come in handy for extremely narrow places to install a Voodoo MAC 5500 PCI for instance :)
