Title: How do YOU take hi-q pics of your cards Post by st4r4m4m4 on 26.07.05 at 18:36:13
I found taking really good photos of my cards quite a hard thing... so far I've managed to make good ones at moderate sunlight on my balcony
I'm thinking about building something similar to a photo copy stand ( for those who'd like to know how does such thing look like: google images :P ) Anyone who has some good suggestions/experiences is welcome here! |

How about a Tripod? A Tripod is mainly used to make sturdy photo's which mostly recieves an very sharp image, I'm not suck a shooter myself, Bu useing a Tripod should help. They look like this:

Well the tripod is a good choice, but a lot of photography is also about lightening the object you are shooting
(Just using the tripod makes great photos but I'd like to take all aspects of shooting objects like cards) |

well a nice 15MP digital SLR could the yob, but in that case there are only 3 options: 1. he is a professional photographer 2. a friend of his is a professional photographer and 3. he has too much money.
Also is possible to do some good analog ones and take the negs for scanning at a lab. Now for my case I got things a little more sorted out now: 2x100W tiristor driven small reflectors on the sides (adjustable height, spacing...) and pseudo-universal mount on top for the camera. The thing would look something as a t shaped cross With this it would be possible to use both methods... direct digital or analog and good neg. scans (wich would be far greater quality than my 4,2MP-crap-camera with compressed pics option only) |

thanks... 8) so i am an ebay powerseller, i am responsible for selling and stuff... i also have to take pictures from our articles... so i can use a bit of my knowledge at home... at work i have a foto-studio which have cost around 6000 Euros... ... but at home i only take some white sheets of paper and go to a window, best pics made in daylight without flash... now only find a good angle so the card has a shiny surface... so its no secret ^^ |

Photography must be your profession then you pics are very clear with extreme detail, what type of camera do you use TM30, a Olympus, Nikon or Cannon 300?

Thanks for the tips TM30. I'll give them a try. I don't have a very good camera but once in a while I squeeze out a good one so I know my technique could use improvement. What camera did you use on your "Dual Voodoo 3 3000" post? Very nice :o http://www.falconfly-central.de/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=general;action=display;num=1122718164 |

Well in fact ordinary flash is the biggest enemy when shooting shiny surfaces...
Hmm.. TM30 do you go for digital or analog? In case you go for digital I suppose you indeed have some pro dig. SLR, because I really haven't seen such good photos on some compact camera. |

Tripod it is!
But I still need sunlight for decent pics... I'll have to get some proper reflector lamps and mount them on something. |
