haha, speaking on which,
my nickname in x-3dfx is different. But i try to keep them the same from forum to forum.

Too bad 3dfxzone.it seems pretty dead in terms of general discussions. I think I seldom get feedback from that forum anyway. Just a waste of time.

Well, the Images are protected by the (inter)national law concerning interlectual property.

Those are legit and valid at least, but not limited to the territory of : USA, Canada, UK, entire Europe, Asia and Australia.

I had the same Idea with some of the Imagery I did and which I find frequently being used on EBay or other Sites/Forums, but saw no point in it.

Still, taking custom/selfmade Images from other Websites is subject to worldwide Copyright unless stated otherwise by the creator of the Imagery.

Knowingly doing so against the clearly stated words of the copyright holder is.... well... "very unsmart" (to say the least) and demonstrates exceptional lack of Situational awareness for international law & its legal implications.
(removal of Logos in this case is an absolute NoGo, you can't violate the law more than this)

Gary has a very clear and complete picture of many 3dfx cards.
I can see why people are so willing to use his picture sample then to use their own.

3dfxzone forums is the only place i know where current 3dfx driver developers are located, without them 3dfx community would be quite dead.

About color it's a matter of taste - some prefer light colors, some dark. I prefer second.

I second that- I have not even used a "third party" driver since I do not run a 3dfx card with XP or 2000.

True some would be lost, but hardly would the 3dfx community be dead.

Oh I'm sure the third party drivers are a very good thing, I just disagreed with the statement that was made in regards to them and the community.

hmm, i see, there are different parts of 3dfx community - those who desire to test new software, drivers, configurations on their voodoos and those who collect everything about 3dfx.
As for me, i count myself in first group, although i like collecting interesting 3dfx items, but only those i can use. I feel no interest in collecting very old stuff, just like i'm not interested in collecting postmarks.

Wow, if i could pass a law all 3dfx fans would have to unite under 1 banner, sometimes places seem dead and then someone post something youve never seen or heard of before, i love this forum but have togo several, pain in my rear trying to keep up. one thing i have noticed is it seems new blood is what keeps forums rolling, after a while old timers on a whole tend to post less cause theyve already talked about whatever 50 times but new ppl havent and their excited about 3dfx. as for 3rd party drivers, hmm. id make a v3 comp if there were no 3rd party drivers, there the only thing that makes my v5 worth using as 3dfx is all i game with, for me its hats off to the driver crew, mesa too(from zoneit), the card gathers(gary the most for sharring) the moders and fixers(hank and others) the forum site guys(falconfly and zoneit and all others) and to all those who share in 3dfx

for the same reason why 3dfxzone.it is so quiet I suppose.
alot of senior members there.
but nothing much to say.
wonder if they even visit the site often enough to respond to questions or discussions.
