well who ever buys the chips is gonna do what they want and thats the way it should be, how many times have we seen boxes of chips for sale, not one time have i seen a thread stating someone needed one for chip replacement, tile your workbench and and a layer of clear hardner over it sounds good to me as falconfly stated already. this reminds me of what i say to people who question my 3dfx collection, i tell them you dont have to understand it just know it makes me happy.

I started this thread to get some ideas from ALL of my good friends here, not to divide us over the topic. Everyone has provide positive input and most of you have some great ideas. I really like this one Quote:
make something out of wood, a custom made display cass out of wood, with the 3dfx logo carved in it

but I'm not that talented in wood-work and don't have the tools. I do hope that someone here will persue this one though.

As I've said before. I have seen these pop up from time to time from the same seller. I'm sure there are more to be had. I waited last time as I didn't want to get into a bidding war with (no names). Now that those power bidder have be satisfied, I might have a shot. I don't recall what the last batch went for but the one before was around a hundred bucks.

Now I'm thinking maybe a small computer desk with the table-top and the keyboard shelf, V2 chips on it and a layer of clear hardner to protect them.

Worthy?? Cool??

Your thoughts?

@gamma742 Too bad your not any good with wood. It's not that hard to work with it though, although carving is quite a challenge when you want to make something very nice.

LOL that kitchen pic is funny as hell. If I had my house like that and not just the one room I have, I'd be a dead man. I love it.    Grin   The work bench idea is a good one by the way. I've got about 8 junk case laying around the garage that you can use for the legs if you want.    Wink

I guess my wife has no sense of humor  Tongue

I am starting to make some headway. There's a local computer magazine called the "ComputorEdge" It's a free magazine that let's you list an ad once a month 25 words or less. I sold this one...

Pentium III Mid-tower, 800MHz, 30GB HD, 256MB RAM, Intel motherboard, CDrom, Sound, WinXP, OfficeXP, Internet Ready and On-line, keyboard and mouse $120.00

I have to wait another week to re-list as I have another one with a MSI 815 mobo to sell. The one above the guy wanted 512 MB and better video than the on-board so I add another 256 and a Radeon 9600 Pro 128 card that I had laying around. Bumped the price to $200.00

It did make the wife happy when I told the buyer to give the money to her Wink

Heheh!! Yeah your probably right. I don't know why my wife puts up with me. One day she told me that we don't spend enough time together, I'm always in my "computer room". So I installed an eight port hub/switch in the kitchen and ran a crossover cable (in the walls through the ceiling) did a nice job. She wasn't impressed. All she wants to do is watch TV and Me. Well, isn't it obvious...

...

Absolutely marvelous !!!

that kitchen is cool, with the PC's in it haha, I see that your Voodoo PC is on Gary's 3dfx site Smiley heh If my mom see's me do'n this to her kitchen , she will shoot me euhm nah she will kich me and then shoot me that's it!

Man this really something different! 8)
