Hey guys! Im just bought a voodoo 2 12 MB 110 MHZ off ebay after mine got chucked 9 yrs ago so i thought i'd come here for drivers. So i got the card and booted up windows detected yadda yadda then rebooted. Then the problems began. Windows was VERY slow at opening things and not opening some things at all (Display properties, control panel). It was detected in device manager but said no driver had been loaded or was necessary. WHAT THE **** i thought. So about 9 drivers later and 5 reinstalls of windows 98 SE i thought id post here. My specs are: VIA chipset Mobo, Geforce 2 MX AGP (hooked into the voodoo) 3dfx voodoo 2 12 MB and a AMD athlon XP processor. I just downloaded a random driver from the V2 driver page on falconfly (I think a DX5 one) and dxdiag reports DX6. Do i Need a DX6 driver???? Also does the voodoo 2 use glide 3 or glide 2?? I havent used a 3dfx card in AGES (since prehistoric PC times) So im a bit confused ATM. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Also after driver installation i dont get any display tab for 3dfx in display. (PS. I think its a 3Dfx reference board as it has the 3Dfx logo on the PCB. I also tried diamond drivers but they didnt work either)

OK. Most of the problems have been fixed.I think i used the DX 6 3.01 drivers (I had DX 5 drivers :Facepalms:) But i still cant get games to detect the 3dfx card or the display Properties to show the 3dfx tab. Doesnt even show up in DXdiag. Oh also to get F1rs to detect the voodoo I put glide and SST1init in system because the installer wouldnt recognize my card. Then i get _GlideEnvironment:Glide2. expected voodoo, None detected. I think the geforce doesnt wanna give up control of the graphics to the voodoo?? (oh yeah the lockups have been fixed. WIN!!!)

Whoa!!!! IT WORKS!!!!!  thnx dude. I get the control panel app and everything, quake runs (Gotta tweak F1rs though as it was made 4 voodoo 1  ) But god. Also is there any way to remove that new logo as the old one kicks a$$ OMG IT WORKS THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!!!!
