Can the blue cable that comes with the 3500TV, be used without the 3500TV card?  Can it be used in different way and scenarios?

Can I not attach the VGA port to my monitor and attach other devices to the RCA / S-Video ports?

Maybe attach a DVD player / VHS / Camcorder to the pod and view it through a monitor, using the VGA port?

I only ask because I have the cable, but no 3500TV to connect it to.
