Title: VOODOO5 5500 agp speed
Post by Mansfield on 01.02.07 at 08:25:35
as I know there is only 1X/2X AGP bus speed
http://guru3d.com/review/3dfx/voodoo5_5500/ but this claims that V5 5k5 has also 4X agp speed.
I think those @ guru3d are wrong or aren't they?
I remeber when Pentium4 was launched and there were abit noise about that V5 aren't compatitle wit MoBos that P4 use, be cause 1.5V data

ps. I read some my old computer/gamemagazines and I found a Tribes2 article. and the writer of article sayd that the game was unplayaple with V3 and V5 because FPS was too low to play. I hope this is proven wrong. Does anyone knoww abot that

The Voodoo5 5500 is electrically a 3.3V AGP1/2x only device.

Quite alot of early 4x/8xAGP only boards were destroyed because of 3.3V Cards.
