...

I thought this was only released in the UK, but I guess not.

Unless it's this one with a diffrent name?

...

I don't know much about it except it's a TV/FM tuner and I can't find any information on it right now.

No, it's different.
The DesktopTV/FM was released in 1999 and the VoodooTV/FM was released in 2000.

Could you make some high-res pics from the card and the box?

It's still the same card isn't it? Just with 3dfx labled on it?

I just paid for the card and I won't be getting it for another 4 days, but I sure will once I get the card in. Grin

Well The difference between the 3dfx DesktopFM and 3dfx VoodooTV FM are not only the year but also that the VoodooTV FM has a Remote Control from 3dfx in the package, which the Desktop TV FM has not  Wink

It looks like it has the same PCB, I can't wait till it arrives! I want to get a closer look.

I have two fully retail boxed copies of the VoodooTV FM!  Grin

Here's a photo:

http://www.jstorey.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/IM000858.JPG

The one on the left is for collective purposes, and the one on the right is for the GlideBox (once I get it up and running!  Angry)
Reason being, the one on the right has a few scratches on the top-left of the box! (Picky, I know!  Roll Eyes)

It's like an illuminous pinky orange!  Smiley

I've seen that image you've used (with the illuminous yellow trim) before, but it's not correct! I don't know why they have used that colour! ???

Judging by the pictures it's a VERY early model! But a good piece to have in the collection!

Is the 3dfx logo only on the box packaging?

I couldn't see it on the manual or the driver CD. Is there any 3dfx reference on the driver CD (documentation, files, demos, drivers)?

Also, judging by the PCB layout, it's ALL STB!  Wink
That method of circuit line laying has no relation to 3dfx's methods and it does relate to other STB models in terms of looks.  Smiley

Maybe that's why it looks very different from the VoodooTV FM. Maybe 3dfx made alterations to this model for their 3dfx lineup? ???

Makes me think STB had this already in the bag before the 3dfx takeover, and this would have been released as a PURE STB model.  Food for thought. Undecided

Nice. Either I was wrong about the date ('99) or STB was producing these before 3dfx took them over.

I just checked out the cd and the small little manual and it's all STB, only the box is 3dfx so I guess your right about the takeover. This PCB was already made before 3dfx took over STB and they just simply packaged it in a 3dfx box. I don't really care anyway, since in a weird sort of way it's still 3dfx.  Grin

STB was making these before 3dfx took over, I guess they had a few left and just packaged it in a 3dfx box.  Shocked
