Title: Spectra 2500 owners club
Post by Tim on 01.01.10 at 15:00:37
I'm just trying to find out how many people have got 2500s, and wether they are boxed or not, or with all cables, accessories etc. Since these cards are quite rare, I figured it's a good moment to establish how many are in collectors hands.

I've tried to keep the poll as simple as possible. Just choose whatever is nearest to what you have.

If you have a US/EU/Asia box list that too please. If you have any pictures, please post them too.

My Spectra 2500 is boxed and complete and is from Japan, with box half in Japanese, half in English. Manuals and CDs are in Japanese too.

I do not have any pictures of it at the moment.

Well, I don't have one yet, but I'll get one soon, the problem is that the card is bulk, I'd like one that has at least the original cable, so I can use it linked with a pair of Canopus V2 (with that cable) :)

There are two cables that come with the Spectra 2500 accessories.  The internal connector from the Spectra 2500 to a V2, and the external loopback cable (VGA to 9-pin).

I have seen on the VoodooAlert forum a pinout and guide to making the external loopback cable.  The internal connector looks like you could make it from a floppy drive cable.

Thanks, I knew that, I have some external cables from Canopus V1 and V2 - I also could make the external one, but I want the original :)

:)  I know what you mean.  I am looking for an extra original miro/canopus VGA to 9-pin cable.
I am using my boxed miro HiScore3D cable for my Voodoo1 PC with a Canopus Pure3D card.

I have a full retail Spectra2500 with japanese box, manual, cables, CD´s and its the later version with 8ns memory. The most off all Spectra2500 cards I have seen have 10ns memory.  :D

I use the card with two Canopus Pure3DII cards with the internal loop cable.

To who may I ask? :)

Ps. One person has voted boxed complete, but didn't reply to the thread. Unfortunately the poll doesn't show the usernames.  :(

You may ask, but I will respect the buyers privacy.

It is in Europe, which is all I can say.

I had a bare card with some rendering issues with a copy of the Spectra driver CD.  It was sold to a collector on the other side of the pond.

I'm surprised to see that (atleast) 6 people have got a boxed one. Very good. :)
