no kidding. anyway, how safe is to use them in agp8x (1.5V) slots? I believe there was a topic about this somewhere, but I'm too tired to search.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think that even AGP 4X will damage the card. BTW AGP 8X is 0.8V. 1.5V is AGP 4X.

Anyway, as I said the connector will fit into AGP4X, but internally it needs 3.3V. So if you install it in a AGP4X mobo that can provide only 1.5V is a bad ideea, the setup "might" work for a few seconds/minutes, but it will most likely end up in smoke.

well, too bad - for some reason, I was under the impression that this would actually work. guess the Epox 8k3a+ will have to do then.
