Title: ePSXe and GLiDE Post by paulpsomiadis on 26.09.05 at 04:07:10
Well folks, it seems that since PC's are getting faster, it's harder to emulate a PSX at the correct speed! ::)
Rather than being too slow as it USED TO be, it's now too FAST!!! :o So here's my settings for ePSXe and Lewpy's GLiDE plugin to keep things at a 'playable' speed on newer PC's... ;D ...pay SPECIFIC attention to the COUNTRY and FRAMERATE settings as these influence speed greatly! ;) Have fun folks! 8) ++COPY AND PASTE BEGINS++ Lewpy's Glideł Plugin Configuration Information v1.42 ----------------------------------------------------- Computer Information OS : Microsoft Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 (v5.1 Build 2600) DirectX : DirectX 9.0c installed Processor : AMD Athlon(tm) XP 3200+, 2204Mhz (1 off) (00/06a0) 64kb L1-I, 64kb L1-D, 512kb L2 (on-chip) Memory : 512Mb Core Emulator ePSXe : F:\EPSXE\EPSXE.EXE : 04/08/2003 23:36, 171008 bytes - v1.6.0(r) *------*----------------------*---------*------------------* | Type | Plugin Name | Version | Date | *------*----------------------*---------*------------------* | BIOS | bios41A.bin | | 24/08/1998 04:21 | | CDR | W2KCDRCORE | 0.0 | Plugin Not Found | | GPU | gpuLewGlide.dll | 1.42 | 21/12/2003 20:20 | | SPU | SPUCORE | 0.0 | Plugin Not Found | | NET | DISABLED | 0.0 | Plugin Not Found | *------*----------------------*---------*------------------* *-----------------------------*---------------------* | ePSXe Configuration Item | Current Setting | *-----------------------------*---------------------* | Auto Load PPF Files | No | | Country | AutoDetect | | SPU Sound Enabled | Yes | | SPU CDDA Enabled | Yes | | SPU XA Enabled | Yes | | CDR Drive Letter | First Available | | CDR W2k Subchan. Well, I've got myself a spiffy new Radeon heatsink for my Birthday (today 2nd October)... ;D
...I'll be 25 this year, WOW, time sure does fly! ::) The downside is that I've had to put my MAC V5500 back into it's box as it won't fit in my PC case anymore due to the HUMONGOUS Radeon HSF... :P ...good job I posted those settings then eh? ;) I'll be building a 'retro rig' for 3Dfx goodness from now on...more on this later! 8) |

well Paul I made that one for your birthday, that shot ;) I was mak'n a real time flight in FS 2004 with that plane. BA is a brittish company so I though it would suit a brittish birday also :)
