Title: Dual display mode with Voodoo2 in SLI?
Post by Barisan on 03.05.14 at 18:48:47
Hello everyone,

I found some old pics of me and got the wish to build one 15 years ago gaming rig. So far so good, I found in my HW collection enough HW from the Year 1989 and put together following combination

Möbo - Abit BH6 with Intel 440BX chipset
CPU - Pentium II 266MHz, SEC 232
RAM - 3 modules@ 256MB PC133 3.0-3-3-6 (CL-RCD-RP-RAS)
Video - Matrox Millennium II AGP
Voodoo - 2*Creative CT 6670 12MB with tm Tech 100MHz Chips running in SLI mode
Sound - Creative Labs SB PCI128
HDD - Quantum Fireball LM10 (in excellent condition)
PSU 250W Max Silent

I want to get this rig running on two displays if's possible. I connected already two LCD displays (HP 1702 & L1706) on both V2 display outputs. Interesting is that when the pc is running in OS mode, pic is shown on the right monitor, in the game mode display runs the left monitor. My question is, could be possible to run this rig in dual display mode?

Thx in advance for your help and advices.

With kind regards,

You can have one screen be a copy of the other (duplicate) with a vga splitter, but you can not have both screens act as one together. Not with Voodoo2 at least.

But you can try to activate dual head support if it's of your interest through environment variables: http://www.mdgx.com/3dfx.htm#V2
