Installing heatsink(s) on Voodoo1/2?
23.10.14 at 14:43:00

I wonder if it's worth installing heatsinks on the 2/3 chips of the Voodoo1/2? Do they get hot to a point where i should be worried about the heat? Because i do see some Voodoo1 and 2 cards with heatsink(s) on them, and they came like this from different brands.

I do have a few leftover heatsinks from chipsets and thermal glue i bought on Ebay for cheap.

I have noticed that the faster a system ya put em in, the more they seem to be pushed and get hotter.

I once had a rig with voodoo2 SLI and 3 heatsinks + fans to keep em cool Smiley, but the fans were more for showing off Smiley

but it did help me get my voodoo2 to 110Mhz, were those black cards with 110Mhz ram, can't remember the name atm

but that rig was overcooled.....imagine an AT bigtower, at the front a hole cut out with 4 80mm fans as a block for intake...then at the side over the mobo, another hole cut out and 3 x 4 80mm fans as a plate over the mobo and a 220v fan as an exhaust fan.......me didn't need an airco during summer Smiley
