Title: Voodoo3 3500 TV channels
Post by RaverX on 25.02.08 at 01:28:31
I just made a computer for a V3 3500, but it seems I can't get the TV Tuner to work very well. I put it to autoscan channels, it does find a few channels, but at the end of the scan, all those channles lack signals. I don't get it, when it scans, I can see the channels, but it seems it selects wrong, all the channels are just static noise.

Has anyone tried to setup a TV Tuner for a V3 3500 lately ? Any succes ?

Could be the aerial - if an internal (coil) aerial won't work...then you might need a aerial in your attic or on your roof.

Autoscan channel tuning is pretty sensitive.

An aerial booster is option B...but its not as good...

I have cable, my ATI AIWs cards got most channels very good. Anyway, what's annoying is that in the scan process, V3 seems to get a few of those channels, I can see images, but at the end all the channels that V3 selects are bad, no signal at all.

Well, I feel sad, I installed Win98 and it works pretty good, not all channels are detected, but there are quite a few, the image quality is ok, not as good as on ATI All In Wonder, but decent, sound is ok too.

It seems that modified drivers or modified Visual Reality for Windows XP are the problem  :(
