Hmm graphics look alot like that opf MicroSoft Flight Simulator X aka FS2006 at max settings with HDR ;)

this is also max settings but without HDR

gotta say the images above is only done with DirectX 9.0C that simulator also support DirecX 10 fully, then it will look alot different alot better too.

gotta say that the Graphics of the A4 Skyhawk's exhaust pipe was a bit too cheesy, seen better graphics for that part, ever ran Flanker 2.51:

Lock On: Modern Air Combat:

Falcon 4.0 Gold yet ? they look alot nicer.
Falcon 4.0 with SP3 aka Free Falcon 3.0

Falcon 4.0 SP4 Allied Force aka Free Falcon 3.1.1, the latest version:

Just say'n it doesn't look that demanding for this time of day, Falcon 4.0 with Free Falcon 3.1.1 update looks about the same qua realism so it's not that amazing as I thought it would look like, and FreeFalcon is like from a few years ago.

As I have some mates of mine in the Dutch AirForce and really it get's very close to Free Falcon 3.1.1 the Graphics, but graphics isn't so important it's the gameplay what get's the relism to a Flight Sim and support for Millitary gear for Flight Sim trainers.

I must say I made similar experiences though.

Except for the very high resolution, the Visual Details of military simulators are usually behind what's available on the common x86 market.
Needless to say, emphasis is on tactcal simulation of actual Scenarios or even full integration of Instrumentation upto their full mil. spec.

I'm Sorry :-[

It rain yesterday and I didn't get to ride my bike. I feel better now :)

I can be a bit hyper-sinsative when it comes to Quantum3D. I have always liked their 3Dfx products best.

I stopped going to other 3dfx forums when I used to get slammed for mentioning Q3D or 3dfx. You'd a thought I was out trolling the way the jumped on me :-/

Yep. The D3 engine was designed for GLIDE. With the latest D3 patch, OpenGL is improved but doesn't come close to the GLIDE version but don't try to tell those guys that. Sheesh, You'll never hear the end of it..
